Easton Mako is one of the best brands of baseball bats you can find on the market. The composite bats, in particular, are favourites of ours. However, they can be prohibitively expensive for some of us. We found, however, that some Easton Mako bats can be affordable and high quality. Your kid won’t have to know that you didn’t spend hundreds on a new baseball bat. We found a few magnificent and cheap Mako bats that you’re bound to love.
To help you pick out the right bat for you, we have detailed reviews and a comparison chart as well as some tips for picking out a bat. First, here’s our top recommendation.
Our top recommendation of Mako bats for sale is the Easton Mako Composite Youth Tee-Ball Bat because of its splendid design and low cost. With a -13.5 length to weight ratio and extremely thin handle with a great grip, this bat is perfect for children playing tee-ball. It’s not just the size of this bat that we like. The composition and the performance of this bat are superior quality.
We’ll tell you more about this bat in the review below, but first, look at this chart to see how this bat compares to the other cheap Mako bats we’re reviewing.
We already mentioned the composition and performance of this bat, but didn’t go into detail. The composite material used to make this bat make it one of the best styles of bat on the market. Composite bats have an enhanced trampoline effect meaning the ball bounces off of the end. Some momentum from the pitch is maintained and it’s not simply the power behind the swing of the bat that matters.
While in tee-ball the trampoline effect may not seem to matter, it does get your child accustomed to swinging a composite bat as opposed to another style.
This is a one-piece bat and that is ok with us. For baseball, we often like the composite 2 piece bats because they absorb shock. However, because this is tee-ball you can save money by buying a one piece. There will be very little shock beyond the batter’s own hit. There will be no momentum from the pitcher’s throw. Because of that, a one-piece bat is perfect.
The Easton FS200 is a brilliant way of getting Mako quality from a different line of baseball bats. While this is an aluminum alloy rather than a composite, it is still a great bat. Saving money by buying an alloy rather than a composite is a smart move as long as you are buying from a high-quality maker like Easton.
It’s not only good because of the price. This softball bat is durable. Some softball bats dent easily, but not this one. The alloy used really matters and this one is good.
Composite bats are superior, but not always within regulation for some leagues. If that’s the case in your league, this metal bat is a great replacement.
While this bat is more expensive than the other two (combined depending on where you get it) it’s still a great bat that is relatively low priced for an Easton Mako. As a drop 10 big barrel bat, it is a great choice for young players. With a size range up to 32” you can keep this as your favourite bat for some time.
This big barrel bat has a substantial sweet spot. However, be careful about giving a big barrel bat to young players. The weight of the bat can adversely impact their swing. Why? Because if your young player isn’t strong enough to hold the big barrel bat properly, they will compensate with an improper swing. Once they are strong enough, it will take a long time to break that bad habit.
The Easton Mako Composite Youth Tee-Ball Bat is the best of the cheap Mako bats. Not only is it low priced, but it will give your young players a chance to excel. We highly recommend it. The other bats are great options for older players.
